Each quarter, our investment team publishes thoughts on the economy and the financial markets. Clients receive topical information about the current events impacting the markets and what it means for their investment portfolios, and how our investment team is shaping the investment strategies for the future. More information can be found in our Thought Leadership section and our Financial Education Blog.
Focus on Women Program
At First Foundation, we understand that women face unique challenges and may wish for objective financial advice at key times in their lives. While women generally live longer, they may also manage families, blended families and/or major corporations. No matter how complex the situation, we understand what discriminating women want when selecting an advisory team.
Our financial literacy program involves a wide range of formats and subjects. Our programs can be offered internally, through our own talented team members, or through third parties, including community colleges and specialized providers. Internally, we offer small group and individual training for young and even mature adult beneficiaries focused on preparing each for the responsibilities of the income and wealth that they may be currently or in the future receiving. Through our nationally recognized program, participants will be taught a wide range of skills they need for today’s financially sophisticated world, including:
- Prudently managing personal cash flow
- Using credit wisely
- Understanding financial markets
- Preparing for the financial challenges of marriage and inheritance
Our typical program offers eight two-hour sessions over several months. This is an introductory course, designed to give participants the language, basic principles and critical skills needed to become an informed investor. You will not need to become an expert in all the issues presented during this brief course, but you will become aware of how much there is to know and it should set you off on a life-long learning experience to improve the depth and breadth of your understanding.
- The Economic Environment
- Fundamentals of Investing
- Real Estate
- Banking, Credit and Debt Management
- Managing Taxes
